Seriously though, both versions of War of the Worlds (the 1953 version and the 2005 version) have the same amount of strong moments and silly moments. If you are a fan of science fiction you can watch them without regretting it, but nothing happens if you decide to skip on them.

As for the radio broadcast, it’s superbly genius. I leave you to listen to it. I hope you enjoy it, because I sure as Tartarus did.

Okay, so I admit I never get on, but I had to for this. Love you, Movie Slate!

I’ve been looking for an excuse to use this picture since I found it a week ago, thank you! xD - Kaoru

No of course I don’t mind. I’m just glad it entertained people. ^_^

Way more comprehensive start-to-finish style album on DA, but I thought I’d put it up here, too, for some reason. This was inspired by the White Box, a fic by Chromosome. Upon reading it, I felt immediately compelled to paint. The character Canvas brings paintings to life and has been locked in an asylum because of that talent. He loses his memory and Twilight comes to help him regain it. She describes colors and the concept of “outside” to him. Eventually, she fails and leaves him for good. I thought this might be the kind of thing he saw from his cell just as his memories begin to fade again.

The first thing I thought when I saw this painting was “OKAMI”.
Now, when I compared something to one of the greatest, most beautiful, breath taking, down right perfectly good videogames of all time, you are doing something right. So kudos man, this painting is gorgeous.

Thank you!! Honestly, I’ve never played Okami, but I’ve seen some of the artwork and I admit that’s where the tail came from. ^_^

Might as well stop delaying and upload this. Still unsure of the background. This was an attempt at studying both values and color gamuts.

Nothing could better describe my mood right now. Also, this is just awesome.

AEI Update

After three hours of work this morning, a lot of progress has made. In fact, for the first time since the project began, there’s an end in sight. Before I began working on the file this morning, the end point of the final version was around 17 or 18 minutes. As of now, it is at 28:30.The total length is somewhere around 40 minutes and it’s still missing maybe 10 minutes worth of lines.

What’s left to do?

To Splice In:
=============

Need to splice in Police Mare at around 12:?? and 14:30ish (still not cast)
Voices at around 15:50
Luna Around 26:23 (still not cast)
Officer, Gunner, Observer stuff at about 28:34 and create / add sound effects
Followed by Apple and Operators
Followed by last two A1 lines
Sync up all the sound effects
Normalize the levels

It might seem like a lot of work, but it’s probably no more than another 4-5 hours worth. Not much when you consider I’ve now put over 25 hours into the project myself, not counting what others have contributed.

Pony Day

What is today? Well, fillies and gentlecolts, today is PONY DAY! At least for me, anyhow. I’ve been neglecting some of my projects… all of my projects… to prepare for a visit to Chicago. As such, I have a rare day off when I only need to exercise, so I’m going to devote the whole day to stuff.

If I can, I’m going to finish this chapter of MLE, record next week’s episode (which will probably be Past Sins 10), edit together as much for AEI as I have AND if I have any creative energy left between those and psych diving, then I’ll try to work on Wasteland Saviors, as well.

What’s that?? Well… I love Project Horizons. Despite the horrific depression it can occasionally cause, I love it more than I love most things. I’ve recently been introduced to making music and wanted the chance to make more. I had originally wanted to make a very specific song for a particular image that was personally poignant. In beginning the process, I came to understand I could create a whole album (or more) for PH-inspired music. Wasteland Saviors, should I choose to go through with more than a song or two, will be that album.

AEI

I can almost TASTE (starts licking the screen) er-erhrm… I can almost taste AEI being done. Just a few more things to do. No more than three hours left?

Because I do stuff sometimes and it’s freaky and awesome. Cthulhu and Pinkie. Yes.

O_O Holy. Fucking. Shit. That should be the cover of a novel man.

Why thank you! There’s a distinct chance I’ll end up writing a short story for it when My Little Enterprise is done.
